Your Pinterest is full of great content – but how can you engage your audience?

A new tool from Pinterest now allows you to do just that.

Pinterest, which features 70 million users worldwide, announced it will debut a messaging feature for users that allows users to interact with each other on a new level.

However, unlike messaging tools found on other social platforms, users will be able to send the content that makes Pinterest such a popular option directly from Pinterest’s new message feature. Users can send pins directly to other users through these conversations.

Similar to other messaging tools on social platforms, the new Pinterest messaging allows users to send stand-alone messages alongside pins found on the website or Pinterest mobile app.


Pinterest’s new message feature gives you an opportunity to engage with your followers.

A video on Pinterest’s blog hints that pins will maintain full functionality within messages. Users will still have the ability to pin content sent to them to their own boards, send it to other users, or add it to their favorite pins.

Not only will users be able to directly interact and message each other one-on-one, but this tool also allows for group messages. Although you likely won’t be able to send messages to each of your followers, it gives you the opportunity to engage with your most loyal – and active – followers.
